GIFTS

I hear all the time about men bringing their wives home flowers and candy. Well, let me tell you, my husband rarely comes home empty handed, but his "gifts" tend to be on the more practical side. I guess a trucker has to "shop"wherever the road takes him! Here is a brief sampling of some of the "gifts" he has brought home at the end of a trip.

A brown paper bag full of potatoes (he was behind a potato truck)

1 15 yard truck full of top soil (the neighborhood kids loved that one)

5 white plastic grocery bags of grapefruits (he was behind a grapefruit truck)

1 case of Ramen soup(I have no idea)

1 crushed case of cereal(you guessed it)

1 case of Coffe-Mate(still waiting for the coffee)

30 chickens (26 by the time he got home - he traded 4 along the way for ice to get them here)

6 deer - yes deer - over the last 2 years (guess who got to clean them)

Most of these "gifts" wound up being a story in itself, but that is for another day.
