Languages from Lindy!

I have five homeschooled kids and would like to share with you the fun we've had with sign language and Spanish!!!

My 10 year old takes sign language classes--perfect age for maximum enjoyment--and teaches the younger ones ages 2, 4, 5. The 15 year old also enjoys this activity but not as much as the younger ones. We learn a color or whatever in English and then we say it in Spanish ....and then we sign it!!! Sign language is considered a foreign language and signers are VERY much in demand.

My children are also enjoying sewing--and yes I have 2 boys and 3 girls. This is not just a GIRL thing. We garden, we sing, we paint, we learn Bible verses, we read, we cook. The idea is to inspire a lifetime LOVE of learning and discern what our Heavenly Father intended JUST for them. You do not have to cram meaningless facts and figures down your child's throat. They love to learn and will soak up everything you give them. Therefore make sure you are planting HOLY seeds. Have fun --- SMILE--- Encourage ---Discipline! Please!
