Here is a Genealogy site, that has a list of volunteer searchers, for each state, then by county, and what they can do for you. I wouldn't mention adoption, if you ask for help.

I have gathered many resources to help both adoptees and birthmothers in their searches. Please register with ISSR, if you have not done so. And send for your non-id. This could help in your search, more than anything.

Another important step, is to become part of a search help group. Online support groups are very helpful. Equally helpful, is to attend a support group in your area. Networking one on one, with knowledgeable people, is the best way I know of to facilitate a reunion.
