Pregnancy Journal- page 127/29/1999- We had our appointment with the perintologist this past Wednesday. I was definately prepared for the a long hospital stay -- until their arrival. Actually, I had thought that the fluid & growth of Baby A had become worse and we may possibly end up having a scheduled C-Section very soon. Much to my surprise (not dh's, he's always been so optimistic!) the situation had improved. Both babies' fluid is back into the low end of NORMAL range and Baby A's growth is still on track. We had some serious concerns after our last appointment that we were dealing with IUGR (intrauterine growth retardation - the baby not growing or gaining weight appropriately). Well, both their tummies were still about a week behind the head & leg measurements -- but we are told there is nothing to worry about at this point. Matter a fact, we don't even have to go back to the peri for another 3 weeks. That will put the pregnancy at 32 weeks. Unbelievable! I am still seeing my local OB every 2 weeks and I think we will begin to see him every week after I reach the 30 wks point.
It's hard to believe we've all made it this far. 3rd trimester! YAAAAHHHHOOOOO! Let me be honest though -- life is becoming extremely uncomfortable! It's hard to breathe now and my bladder has been giving me trouble. I guess because it's tired of being used as a pillow. Baby A is very low & Baby B is very high in my rib cage. Sleeping has become a thing of the past as well. I'm just getting very nervous and excited for their arrival -- and wishing it were already September.
We had a wonderful shower! There isn't a thing that we are still in need of at this point. Of coarse we will always need diapers and bottles, wipies, etc....but we have all the other essentials (at least all that we can think of that we need). Our church has been amazing! There have been a few very special people who have helped us out by cooking, caring, offering support in so many ways. I couldn't be any more thankful than I am. It was also nice to get together with so many of my old friend, and family -- whom we had not seen in years. I just had a blast! Now, if the girls were just here safe and sound, all would be absolutely perfect. :0)
