When God disclosed to me that I am one among the many that He had chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world, I have been called names. I would expect that from non-Christians but not from Christians because Christians are nice. So I thought. The first ones to throw stones at me are pastors. And guess who follow pastors with bigger stones? Lately, my e-mail is mostly hate e-mail. Somebody was even praying that I go to hell. They call me a robot, a fatalist among others. A few have called me a term which I had to check the meaning of. The word is "antinomian". For those who don't know what the word means, so to save you time from checking it out yourselves, according to Merriam-Webster, antinomian means somebody who holds that under the gospel dispensation of grace, the moral law is of no use or obligation because faith alone is necessary to salvation. I agree with Webster except the words "no use". We all know that the moral law is good. What Webster terribly erred is to add that faith (from Whom does faith come from? but that's another story) alone is necessary NOT ONLY to salvation BUT ALSO to sanctification and glorification because of what Jesus Christ did. Please hold your stones!
Thank you to those who call me an antinomian. Perhaps that will wake you up and make you realize that you are standing on your own righteousness rather than the only perfect righteousness of Jesus Christ. You can accuse me all you want. I have Jesus as my Judge, my Lawyer, my Friend and my Hiding Place. Who do you have?
What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? BY NO MEANS!
