In 1948 on July 15, 16, 17 & 18, the first Annual Primitive Baptist Bible Conference of the Central States was convened in Plainfield, Indiana, at the Friends Church. We continued to hold our Annual Meetings in Plainfield until 1977--thirty years.
In 1978 we moved to new facilities in Indianapolis, Indiana to Indiana Central College. Our meeting dates were July 19, 20 and 21. During our stay at the College it changed names twice--from Indiana Central College to Indiana Central University in 1979. In 1989 the name changed to University of Indianapolis; We continued holding our meetings at the University until 1991--fourteen years.
In 1992 we moved to Vincennes University Vincennes, Indiana. Our meeting was held on July 21, 22 & 23. With great delight we were privileged to hold our preaching services in a church building once again. The greatest blessing was meeting in the Mara Creek Chapel. The Chapel was moved to the University and dedicated on May 24, 1970. It is a blessing for us, the Primitive Baptists, to hold our conference in a Primitive Baptist Church for the first time.
We are thankful to God for the many blessings He has showered upon us these past fifty years and we are looking forward to many years to come, asking God to continue to bless us as He has in the past.
We will continue to praise and glorify our Saviour in all that we do.
Humbly submitted
