Oh, be careful little eyes what you see,
Oh, be careful little eyes what you see.
For the Father up above is looking down in love.
So, be careful little eyes what you see.
Other verses:
Sung to the tune: It's Raining, It's Pouring
I'm smelling, I'm smelling,
My nose is busy smelling.
This is the song I like to sing
When I smell most anything!

Up in the sky (point up) the little birds fly (flap arms),
While down in the nest (point down) the little birds rest (put hands together as if "praying," put to side of head, and lean head down on hands like a pillow).
With a wing on the left (tuck left hand under left armpit) and a wing on the right (repeat with right hand under right armpit)
The little birds sleep (repeat "sleep" motion done after the word "rest") all through the night.
(Finger to lips, and whisper): Shhhh. They're sleeping!
(Scream): QUIET!!!!!!!
Then, out comes the sun (make a round sun with arms above head),
The dew falls away.
(Make birds "beaks" with hands. Open and shut them as you say last line):"Good morning, good morning," the little birds say!
One little bird with feathers of blue;
Flew beside the green one and then there were two.
Two little birds singing in the tree;
The red bird came to join them and then there were three.
Three little birds, wishing there were more;
Along came the purple bird and then there were more.
Four little birds, happy to be alive;
Found a little yellow one, and then there were five.
Five little birds as happy as can be;
Singing beautiful songs -- just for you and me!
I saw a little bird go hop, hop, hop.
I told the little bird to stop, stop, stop.
I went to the window to say, "How do you do?"
He wagged his little tail, and away he flew!
Five feathered birds sitting in the door;
One flew away and then there were four.
Four feathered birds singing in the tree,
One flew away and then there were three.
Three feathered birds looking at you,
One flew away and then there were two.
Two feathered birds sitting in the sun,
One flew away and then there was one.
One feathered bird looking like a hero,
He flew away and now there are zero!
Two little birds sitting on a hill;
One named Jack, the other named Jill.
Fly away Jack, Fly away Jill;
Come back, Jack, Come back, Jill.
Five little ducks went out to play,
Over the hill and far away,
Mother duck says, "Quack, quack, quack!"
Four little ducks came waddling back.
Continue counting down (and removing a duck each time, if you are using flannel figures or finger puppets), until all ducks are gone.
When the father duck said, "QUACK, QUACK QUACK!"
Five little ducks came running back!
Five little ducks swimming in the sun,
"What can we do for a little fun?"
The first little duck said, "Let's swim around."
The second little duck said, "Let's walk on the ground."
The third little duck said, "Let's find something to eat,"
The fourth little duck said, "That sounds neat."
The fifth little duck said, "I want to play."
So he opened his wings and flew away.
Five little ducks sitting by me;
This little duck said, "What do I see?"
This little duck said, "I smell a gun!"
This little duck said, "Oh, let's run!"
This little duck said, "Let's hide in the shade!"
This little duck said, "I'm not afraid!"
BANG! went the gun;
And away they ran!
