When Casey came to live at my house it was a struggle
to determine just who was the boss. Casey won that
battle and now after many years she is the undisputed
champion!! She truely is the head of her house and
simply permits her human to live within it's
walls.

It has truely been an interesting experience living
with a Lhasa. But, before selecting any breed of dog
as a pet, be sure you are familiar with it's good
attributes and it's bad ones. Will it get along with
the members of the family? Is it overly protective
or overly friendly with strangers? What are your
expectations of this new member of your family, and
what will be it's expectations of you? Study the
breed standard and talk to breeders, kennel
operators, and anyone who has had a pet of the breed
that you think that you would like to introduce into
your family. Make your purchase from a reputable
breeder who is familiar with this breed and is
looking towards the betterment of the breed. Often
times breeders of show quality dogs will have ones of
pet quality available (after all, it is not possible
