WELCOME TO THE DOLL ROOM

One of my other hobbies is to collect porcelin dolls from all the different countries. I love to see the native dress of the different people. You see such bright colors and beautiful clothing. Almost every doll comes with a little book telling about the doll, where it is from, and sometimes what the doll is dressed up for. I hope to be adding a few more pictures later on. Have an enjoyable visit!!!

These are my DiAnton Dolls. They are known for the realistic facial features that real kids express. They are made in Spain. They are also dressed in the old fashion style clothes. They are so adorable!

This one is a real classic. It isJesus and is entitled, "Let The Little Children Come Unto Me."
It is so precious and one of my favorites out of all my dolls.

These are a couple of my African Dolls. Serena is dressed in traditional
African dress, and the little Whitney is in a summer outfit and she is holding a butterfly.

This is my little Eskimo, Noatak with his Alaskan Husky puppy. He is dressed in his
winter parka and is ready to go out and play with his puppy in the snow.

Here is my little beauty from India. Asha is ready to go to the market to help her mother
buy some fresh fruits and vegetables, which she will carry home in her basket.

This is Sliver Moon with her son Quick Fox and little baby Sleeping Bear in his cradle board. They
are dressed in beautiful hand made clothing. The cradle board is also hand made. Very pretty.

This is a Japanese brother and sister dressed in beautiful outfits. Mei Mei is
giggling at her little brother Ming, who is holding his paint pallet up for you to see.

This is little Ting Ting and Sunshine & Lollipops. Ting Ting is also from Japan. Sunshine is from America and wants to share her lollipops with Ting Ting. They will be leaving for a birthday party very soon now.

Here is Marisa from Mexico. She is brushing her hair as she daydreams about her upcoming graduation
from high school. She has many plans to make for her future, and is looking forward to them all.

This doll is a real beauty. She is Peaches and Cream and is from America. She has just been outside picking fresh peaches from the trees to suprise her mother. They will make some peach cobbler and peach pies.

Oh-oh, Hillary doesn't look too happy today. She has been out with her friend Suzanne picking flowers.
Mother has said it is time to go into the house and she really wanted to stay and play a little bit longer.
She has the pout down pat, doesn't she?

Here is Many Stars a plains Native American and her friend from another Nation standing
in reverence as they watch the medicine Man offer up a prayer for the buffalo. He is
quite concerned about the declining buffalo population.

This beauty is Little Fawn. She is having alot of fun playing with her little papoose bear. Her mother
hand made the cradle board especially for her. She also made the beautiful blouse Little Fawn is wearing
taking great care in sewing all the sea shells onto it.

Here is Mariama & Oluwa Fumike from Africa. Mariama likes to collect sea shells on the beach. Oluwa is a Calabash Carver. They are showing their goods to their friend Dara from Thailand who is visiting them.

Kali is a beautiful dancer on the island of Java. She uses her dancing as a beautiful way of telling
stories. She must practice very hard each day to keep improving her style of dance.

I hope you have enjoyed viewing the dolls. I have more from other countries such as Senegal, Thailand, the Phillippines, more from various places in Africa, and Native Americans from the various nations. It is such a joy to see people in their native dress. I hope to pass these on to my grandchildren some day. They are such a delight to have displayed in my home. I only wish the pictures did them justice. Have a wonderful day!!!
