Herb Gravy

Preparing herb gravies is a good way to enhance the flavor of most cooked foods. You start with a cube of margarine or butter. Slowly melt it and increase the heat. When it is hot, start adding flour a little at a time, while mixing constantly and thoroughly. Continue adding flour until you have soft clumps that do not run out over the
pan. Keep stirring and mixing until you start to see a little browning. Then you may add any liquid of your choice, flavored broth, bullion, milk, ect. Continue stirring as you add the liquid until you get the right consistancy for gravy. Turn down the heat and add the herb combinations appropriate for your paticular meal. You may also
add these herb combinations to the gravies you make from roast, meatloaf, fried chicken, etc.
They add a terrific new flavor to them that I am sure you will enjoy.

The herb recipes below are intended to show relative amounts. Add as much of
these combinations as desired for the flavor strength you want.
