Monstera Deliciosa (Araceae)
A very popular and strong plant. Older plants came be spread enormously
along windows and other places that are not too dark. Full sun, however
is wrong. With too little light, no holes will form in the foliage.
With good care the leaves will become very large and the plant can
even bloom with arum-like flowers. Fruits may develope, though
this usually only happens in greenhouses.
The plant can remain in a warm room the whole year. Spray the foliage
frequently, though. During the growth period, feed once every 2 weeks.
Repot in the spring to get rid of harmful substances that can build
up in the soil. The vines need to be tied up in such a way that the
leaves receive enough light, but no too much sun.
