In Loving Memory

        Georgia Alice Bennett Johnson
        September 27, 1907 - January 5, 1999

        As I walk through the forest green,
        Hear the laughter of the bubbling stream
        The whispering of shimmering leaves,
        The sighing of the gentle breeze
        Feel the soft brown earth beneath my feet
        See the timid deer that is so fleet,
        The hordes of flowers of different hue
        Expanse of sky of azure blue,
        The beauty of a floating cloud,
        The frisky squirrel that scolds so loud.
        Then I thank you God for your love of man-
        For all the blessings from your bountiful hands.

        When I must Leave You
        By Helen Steiner Rice

        When I must leave you for a little while-
        Please do not grive and shed wild tears
        And hug your sorrow to you through the years,
        But start out braveley with a gallant smile;
        And for my sake and in my name
        Live on and do all things the same,
        Feed not your loneliness on empty days,
        But fill each waking hour in useful ways,
        Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer
        And I in turn will comfort you and hold you near;
        And never, never be afraid to die,
        For I am waiting for you in the sky!
