Bitty
Bitty was a purebred Alaskan Malamute, also known as Hi-De-Ho's Sugar 'n Spice.
She was very dear to me being the last one from our second litter. I held her in my hands right after she was born. Such a small helpless little girl. It seems she grew up to quickly. At age 13, a 5 lb. cancerous tumor was removed along with her spleen. She was given 2 to 3 months to live. A retired vet, experimenting with a theory aimed at reducing the stress level in animals, gave her three injections of a chemical he was testing. I felt if she had such a short time to live, I was going to try to give her every chance to beat the odds. I will always believe the injections given to her by that vet was what gave me the extra time with her. At that time, she became more lively and full of herself than she had been for a long time. I'm so very glad to have had the extra years with her. Bitty passed away just six weeks short of her 16th birthday. She was such a sweet girl. She loved all people and other animals. She was loved dearly and is missed so very, very much.
