(It is helpful if every Senior Girl Scout Troop has at least one copy of the Handbooks so that girls who cannot afford them can read the requirements.)
Requirements 1 - 4 may be completed in any order, but must be fulfilled prior to beginning the Gold Award project. Note that your accomplishments prior to registration as a Senior Girl Scout may not be used toward the completion of your Gold Award.
Your project should take a time commitment of 50 hours, at the minimum. Keep a log of your hours to share with your advisor. This time includes planning, making contacts, training others and actually implementing the project. The time (and the project) does not start until your project application is filed with and approved by your Council. Upon completion of the project, a final report must be filed with your Council before you can receive the Gold Award.
