Welcome to Mouse Scout Troop #8ms. All the members of our Mouse Scouting Troop are mice adopted from the Mouse Pad. Our troop leader is Pixie. She has a two mice of her own, Pixie & Dixie. And a her daughter, Tara munchcen has her own, Cuddles & Esmerelda.

Badges

The badges you can earn are listed below. You must complete at least two activities per badge. When you earn one, Email the leader. Then, right-click the badge, and save it so you can add it to your page. On your Mouse Scout's honor, don't take the badges unless you really earn them. Check back occasionally, as new badges will be added in the future.

Understanding Your Fellow Mice Understanding Your Fellow Mice This badge requires you to gain an understanding of mice around the world.
1. Learn about different types of mice, and the different sort of lives they live. Read about field mice, house mice, dormice, and as many different types of mice as you can.
2. Learn about the distant relatives of mice: other rodents. Promote global understanding among fellow rodents in a project of your choosing.
3. Write a poem or story about what makes mice special. Share it with your community.

I Can Help I Can Help This badge encourages scouts to help their communities.
1. Help a fellow mouse. You may help them with their home page, finding their relatives, or anything else.
2. Help your adoptive parents work on their home page.
3. Do some community service of another type.

I Like Computers I Like Computers This badge requires mice to learn all about computers.
1. Learn all about the mouse. What does it do? How do you clean it? Speculate on why it is called a mouse.
2. Have your parents tell you about HTML and how they made your home page.
3. Add something special to your nursery, like a new image, music, or javascript.

Camping Camping This badge requires that mice learn all about camping.
1. Go camping on your home page. Sleep outside for a night.
2. Keep a journal of your campout. Share it with your fellow mice.
3. Tell a ghost story to one of your friends. Have them tell you one.

Writing Writing This badge encourages mice to share their writing.
1. Keep a journal on your home page.
2. Write a story or poem for your home page.
3. Write an essay about what it is like to be a mouse for your home page.

Your Family Tree Your Family Tree This badge lets mice examine their family tree.
1. Look for your biological mice relatives.
2. Learn about your adopted parents' families.
3. If possible, draw a family tree.

Sports Sports This badge encourages mice to participate in athletic activities.
1. Join a sports team for mice.
2. Learn all the rules to your sport.
3. Watch a sporting event on television.

Visual Art Visual Art This badge helps mice explore the visual arts.
1. Make a special graphic for your home page.
2. Visit a museum, either on the Web or in the "real world". Learn to recognize a few famous works of art.
3. Experiment with a few different graphics programs for your computer.

Cooking Cooking This badge lets scouts explore cooking.
1. Learn about different types of cheese. What sorts of cheese go well with different sorts of food.
2. Make dinner for your family.
3. Collect some of your favorite recipes in a cookbook.

Music Music This badge encourages scouts to explore the world of music.
1. Add music to your home page.
2. Learn about different sorts of music, including both popular and classical music. Share what you learn with your fellow mice.
3. Write a song, or write new lyrics to a tune you already know.

Leadership Leadership This badge rewards mice for their leadership skills.
1. Take on a leadership position in a group, such as your Mouse Scout Troop, sports team, or club.
2. Work on your leadership skills. Practice communication skills and organizational skills.
3. Initiate a project on your own, such as a community service project.

Math Math This badge encourages scouts to explore mathematics.
1. Help someone learn math skills. Teach a younger sibling or friend everything you know.
2. Think of some practical applications for math. Which jobs require good math skills?
3. Learn at least three new mathematical formulas.
