1 med. cabbage, shredded | 1 carrot, grated |
1 tsp. salt | 1 1/2 cup water |
1 cup vinegar | 2 cups sugar |
1 tsp. celery seed |
Mix salt into shredded cabbage and let stand for 1 hour. Squeeze out excess water and add shredded carrot. Combine remaining ingredients and boil for 1 minute. Cool to lukewarm and pour over slaw. Put in freezer. Thaw and serve.
