Microwave Caramel Popcorn

Ingredients
16 cups popped popcorn 1 paper grocery sack sprayed w/cooking spray
1 stick margarine 1 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup light corn syrup 1 tsp. salt (optional)
1 tsp. baking soda

Place popped popcorn in the paper sack. In a microwave safe 2 quart dish, combine margarine and light corn syrup and microwave for 1 minute. Add brown sugar and bring to boil. (It usually takes about 2 to 3 minutes). Boil for 3 minutes. Add baking soda and salt. Stir really well. This will be a frothy mixture. Pour over popcorn. Close bag and shake. Cook in microwave for 3 minutes, shaking 3-4 times. Then empty out onto counter top or kitchen table. Be careful of eating too soon as it is really hot!! As it cools, break it apart. Store in a zip lock bag and enjoy!!
