This is IT!

Well, here is a picture of our very own home! We moved in on Jan 2, 1998. I never thought that we would have a house of our own. But it just shows that dreams do come true. Course, there was a lot of planning and saving that made it possible too.

What we love about our house........

The bird life around here is great! Living close to a wildlife area, makes for interesting viewing. We have lots of sparrows, and we have seen some Red headed House Finches too. A few golden headed finches have appeared every now and then too. We also have Scrub jays from time to time as well. And of course every spring there are robins galore. Oh and we can't forget the huge black crows!

Using our binoculars to look up in the trees out back we "think" we saw a Prairie Falcon, or maybe its just a hawk. It sure is hard to look at a bird, try to describe it so someone can look in the bird book to find it! There are a couple of tall redwood trees in the yard behind us, and the Falcon/Hawk and its mate come to these trees every spring and stay until winter. We don't know where their nest may be, but every morning and afternoon like clockwork they are out there calling to each other.

Well, gardening time is beckoning... the sun is shining and so I'll leave for now. Hope you all have a wonderful spring!
