Hands - Too Good to be true
Too Good to be True
"Too Good to be True", that's how they'd describe
me to you
It might be a sight twist of the truth, a white lie even
But I've tried my best since I've lived with the Stevens
Seven months have gone by, and I've settled in
well
Down on the farm is a life far from hell
I know I don't listen as good as I should
When I'm running free in the fields and the woods
But it's great having frredom, and I do often look
back
To see if they're following along the farm track
I say "Hi" to the cattle, and then having fun
I run around their feet and play 'chase' in the sun
I've helped make the hay, stacked the bales in the
barn
I follow the tractor, I love my life on the farm
As my dad feeds the cattle, I'm there to help out
I follow him everywhere, we're great mates, there's no doubt!
But it's inside the house where my loyalties
lie
As I stretch out before the fire, warm and dry
I bark evertime there's a knock at the door
I keep intruders at bay, they couldn't ask for more
Let me tell you about mum, the hand that feeds
The hand that walks me on my lead
She doesn't understand why she isn't (at times), in command
But on the whole, I sit, heel, shake paws and stand
Although our walks are a bit of a race
I just can't keep to a very slow pace
I think a ride in the car is just great
I look out of the window, and sit there sedate
I occaisionally nap if it is a long trip
No I don't mind the car, not one little bit
So you see, Dobe Welfare did me a turn
By finding me a home down on the farm
And although they call me "Too Good to be
True"
I have a secret to share with all of you
Who'd complain with a warm house, bed, lots of love
And of course being fed!
My favourite game at the moment is chasing the
hoover
As you know, my name is still *Kruger*
