SEPTEMBER MEETING

This month's meeting we met in the Garden Level of the church at noon after services. It was a bit difficult to find parking because the Denver Broncos played that afternoon and all those parking spaces go to the fans. I did not get back into the church till almost 25 after 12 pm. We decided not to have meetings on the same days as the games.

There were 8 Moms and 4 Dads in attendance with tons of kids! We had one new Mom and one new couple attend. One other Mom brought in a video tape by Vicki Brady called, "Homeschooling: Convenience or Conviction?" In it she gave her testimony of why she decided to homeschool which was by convenience, due to her daughter's disability.

We brought our own lunches and ate while we watched the video. The children were in a separate room, eating their lunch, playing and also watching videos.

After the video, we adjourned into a smaller room for our meeting. We talked about logos, field trips, book clubs, Riverside's Harvest Festival in October, art & gym days. The need for a treasurer came up, due to cost of printing, paper and stamps. One couple volunteered to be the treasurers and will work out some kind of plan for minimal fees starting in October.

One Mom's father is a science teacher at a Charter school and volunteered to be our guest speaker for the month of November. He will also put on an experiment for the children. Another Mom mentioned having a wildlife speaker and will get back to us with more info.

This adjourned our meeting and we closed in prayer. Please come see October's meeting.
