Asa AYRES & Mary AYRES
to John Fosdick

Deed Book Vol. 12, Pages 416/418

Geauga Co., OH

28 Oct 1828

This deed was obtained from research by Gloria Odom.
Ordered from: County Recorder, Geauga Co. Land Records
Chardon, OH 44024
Cost: $1.50 per page
2 June 1986

Notes:
The last line of image one - "in fee simple and have good right"... was scanned twice to make
the line easily readable in image two - it was not repeated twice in the document.

Page #417 seems to have been skipped when the deeds were recorded so that this
deed was recorded at the bottom of page 416 and completed at the top of page 418. A
new deed began at the bottom of page 418.

The deeds received from the land records office were xeroxed onto large, oversize,
metalic type paper - never seen anything like it before.

The recorder used old style writing for some of his words - for examples “assigns” looks like
“apigns” and “less” looks like “lep” - however, the “p” or sometimes "f" is really representative
of an "s" or double “ss.”
