FIFTH SHORT GENERATION

Mary Melvina "Polly" Short was born on 7 Mar 1866 in Ky, the daughter of Jemima Maggard and Daniel W. Short. She died on 23 Aug 1893 about 1 month after giving birth to Barbara Ellen She was buried in a handmade black walnut coffin in the Riley Mullins Cemetery on Bold Camp, Pound, Va. She had black hair, blue eyes and was of fair complexion.

Mary Polly Short was married to William Jefferson Hollifield on 14 Jun 1884. William Jefferson Hollifield was born on 14 Feb 1864. He died on 17 Feb 1948. Mary Melvina "Polly" Short and William Jefferson Hollifield had the following children:
