Terry's 3M's: Meditations, Mutterings, Madness

Terry's 3M's

December 20, 1997

I'm glad the birthday party is over!!

Bryan got a Super Nintendo and a few games for it as a present. Now imagine me sitting here like the cat that got into the cream. See, the boys don't have a television set in their room. That means that the game stays in my room, hooked up to my television. Now if I can just get the Final Fantasy games from my sister, Frances, I will be all set for many an enjoyable evening.

I enjoy role playing games. I can hang with Super Mario for a while, but, I really like the games that tell a story and you decide who does what during a fight; but, the computer does the actual fighting. My fingers just don't seem to be speedy enough when it comes to fighting on the screen.

The girls are upstairs wrapping presents in my room, which means that I have to stay out of there for a bit.

I did most of my present wrapping yesterday. The presents are locked away in the closet off the bathroom. This is a necessity as any present with a child's name on it is not safe under the tree.

The boys are out Christmas shopping now.

Dinner is going to be very simple tonight. The kids will love it and I'll be glad that I only have to spend less than 4 minutes cooking it. Corn dogs and macaroni salad. The salad is made and the corn dogs will just get nuked for a few minutes.

God bless the creator of microwave ovens for the home!!

One child has just said, "Good night." even though it's only around 4 PM. She really is feeling quite sick with a cold. She caught the cold from her brother and insists that it wasn't because she spent a lot of time outside without a jacket on. I told her that while that was probably true, running around without a jacket is not the way to build up your immune system, and it's the immune system that prevents you from getting sick.

Oh, well. She'll recover.
