Terry's 3M's: Meditations, Mutterings, Madness

Terry's 3M's

May 5, 1998

The kids were so good to me Sunday night! They decided to celebrate Mother's Day a week early by making dinner.

Bryan made terrific roast chicken pieces and they made corn on the cob for a vegetable. They even tried to make dessert. Not having a cake mix, Bryan mixed yeast, water, flour and eggs together and baked an erstatz bread. Not having a clue as to how to make frosting, he mixed cocoa with water and sugar. After I told him to boil it, it made a passable topping.

The other kids set the table with a table cloth! They really were sweet.

I had to go to school today for a conference with John's three teacher's. (Special Ed aka Resource teacher, Speech Therapist, and regular classroom teacher.) If he keeps improving at the rate that he's going--he should be able to do without the speech therapist in another year. All of his teachers are impressed with the hard work he's done and the improvement that he's made this year. They sang praises about his behavior.

Now, if only I could get him to behave that well at home!

I know this is short, but, it's late.
