This is a Age-Finder Chart. To use, put the year of the first event (such as birthdate) down the left side and the year of the second event (such as census year) across the top. Draw lines to intersect and you will have the age.

Conversly, if you know the age at a particular census year, find that age going down at the census year, then across to the left to determine the birth year.
