THE DAY OF PENTECOST AND THE BIRTH OF THE CHURCH
Acts 1:1-4 (King James Version)
1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
MAY THE LORD ADD A BLESSING TO THE READING, HEARING, AND DOING OF HIS MOST HOLY WORD!
MEDITATION THOUGHT:
The Holy Spirit transforms us so we may be part of transforming the world. If you are born again, the Holy Spirit lives in your heart and you have the power to overcome sin, Satan and the world.
MEDITATION PRAYER:
Loving God,
Fill us with the Holy Spirit and empower us to serve You. Give us the power to walk right. The power to talk right. The power to be right. The power to do right. The power to live right. The power to love right.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord we pray.
Amen.
