194. Fannie May ROBINSON was born in Jun 1884 in Yancey County NC. She died on 2 Oct 1978 in Asheville NC. She was buried on 6 Oct 1978 in West Memorial Park, Weaverville NC. Fannie May ROBINSON was born on 14 Jun 1884 in Celo Yancey County Toe River Sec., NC. She died on 2 Oct 1978 in Asheville, NC.
She was buried on 6 Oct 1978 in West Mem. Park, Weaverville, NC. She was a Homemaker. When my grandmother Fannie Robinson married my grandfather Lunel
Riddle, she was an attractive 17 year old young lady with long black
hair, brown eyes, and olive complexion. Some said that she had
Cherokee blood in her but I doubt that because she never admitted it
to anyone. She was the daughter of Edward (Ned) Robertson
and Ann Elizabeth Young. Ned Robertson fought for the South during
the Civil War and served in Company C, 58th NC Infantry. Ned's
ancestors migrated to the South Toe River Valley, Yancey County from
Virginia prior to 1780. The Youngs were also early settlers in
mountains of western North Carolina.
Fannie was well educated, very religious, and loved to read.

The above description was given by Richard L Riddle, grandson in his genealogical records.

She was married to Lunel McGilvary RIDDLE on 24 Oct 1901 in Yancey County NC. Lunel McGilvary RIDDLE was born on 8 Jan 1877 in Pensacola NC. He died on 30 Sep 1953 in Asheville NC. He was buried in Oct 1953 in Weaverville NC. Married first my grand aunt AnEliza (Annie) Burleson (sister of my grandmother Rebecca Ellen Burleson Robinson), second he married my grandfather's sister, Fannie May Robinson. Does this make him my double grand uncle? This marriage was performed by Minister A H Riddle and witnessed by R F Gardner and J H Allen.
