Fairfax, VA Sign time: 1998-11-09 21:16:26 Comments: Researching to find the parents and family of my gggrandfather, David Atticus NOLAN, born March 28, 1819 in SC. His family walked to GA in 1829. The next piece of info I have is when he married Louisa PEEBLES on March 27, 1838. David Atticus Nolan was the Methodist Circuit minister for this area. He had 6 sons, all born in Henry County, Joseph T. Nolan, born April 18, 1839, James R in 1841, John Y. in '43, William T in '46, David T. in '52, and Jesse H. in '52. Most of the family moved on to Clayton County in 1850's, then to Heard County in 1880 census and ended up in Coweta county. Focusing on David Atticus Nolan in 1830, he would have been a young boy in Henry county. If any Nolan families are recorded in the 1830 census for Henry county, one of them could be his. Could you tell me if there are any Nolan's listed in 1830, 1840 or 1850 census for Henry county? Thanks. Ben Nolan 3rd

WARREN and his wife Mary Amanda MCBEAN who were married 6/18/1837 in Newton County, Georgia. James M. Warren was born in 1812 in Morgan County, Georgia to possibly a Joseph Warren who came to Georgia in the early 1800's with what appears to be his brothers Dread & Edward Warren, from North Carolina. Mary Amanda McBean's father was possibly Daniel McBean of Newton County. She was born in 1817. James & Mary moved to Atlanta in 1850-1860. James M. Warren died 11/22/1889 in Atlanta and his body was moved to Oxford, Georgia. His grave, as well as his son John Henry Warren, who also died in Atlanta in 1891 (age 47, body moved to Oxford) have not been located as yet. They may be in Oxford City Cemetery in unmarked graves near James M. Warren's daughter Georgia Warren who died in 1854 (age 8). A marriage record of James M. & Mary A. Warren would be great as well as the location of where they are actually buried.
