North Kansas City, Missouri
WHO WE ARE: We are Fran & Warren Davidson, better known as MYSTIQUE'S HAVEN not kennel or any other qualification. There's too many different creature's (let alone me) that come here for a haven. This fits all the parrots, finches, horses and assorted "what's that thing" or "where did that come from" creatures that reside here in Northern Kansas City. We've had stray dairy cows, herefords, assorted varieties of dogs, cats (oh well), skunks (they took up residence in our horse barn last year--I dont know why the horses don't stay in it anymore?), owls, hawks, all kinds of wild birds, turtles, frogs, snakes, owls, rabbits, coyotes, had some sheep once too. Oh and we also have those challenges to the aging spirit--Grandchildren. We help place Rescue boxers with our involvement with the Kansas City Purebred Rescue Group, plus serve as the Breeder referral for the American Kennel Club, National Breed Referral Service. GIZMO Mystique's Wyandot Silverado Adopted by Pat Manville, Spring 1997. First there is Waldo, trying to get in my lap,(Pat Manville) my grandson-Dude, Judd, then Gizmo almost sitting on Judd. Mystique's Mattie (now MADDY) Adopted by Kay McAleese, Spring 1997. The little boy in this picture is my grandson Bryan. Maddy has lots of kids to slurp... grandkids and neighbor kids. She's just a typical kid-loving boxer I guess. These are some pictures I took Mother's day weekend. It was Maddy's first time to the lake with people swimming and she sure enjoyed herself. She was picking up "special" rocks off the bottom and sticking her head all the way in. Several times she snorted under water and we were sick with laughing at the resulting bubble blowing! She got so indignant! She didn't swim but she waded up to her chest. A good time was had by all and we all sure do love her.
