encourage you to continue to endure for Jesus or to begin your journey with Him.
I was born again in July of 1989. I remember it very clearly. I wasn't in a
church. I was in my car. There was no preacher only THE PREACHER. I was on my way
home from the place I was working at that time. ( I was a restaurant manager)
I had been through a great ordeal, I had just transferred about 2 hours away from
my home to my new job. This took a great deal of time and I became so engulfed
in my work that my family began to suffer. I found myself involved in sin up to my
eyebrows. My husband had just broken his hip and he was home with the children. He
broke his hip at work after just having gone back from having back surgery! Boy are you
all beginning to see a pattern here! God has a way of putting some stubborn folks like me
in some pretty crazy situations, so that we have no other way to look but to Him. Anyway,
stress was what I ate for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I was so unhappy and I knew I
needed to be running to God instead of from Him. Funny thing is when we moved to my
new home in Middletown, Ohio, God put me smack dab in the middle of a bunch of pentacostal folds.
One of my assistant managers at my job was a christian, and a wonderful family we are very close
friends with now, lived just a few apartments away. God was working on my husband
at home and me at work! Isn't He great!
Anyway, you see I was raised in church and new I was living in sin. So God
used the best approach He could have ever used when He spoke to me that morning
in July, 1989. Jesus said,"You know the way and because you choose to walk out of
it...it will be worse for you in the end". Slap!!!! Boy did that wake me up. All
I could do was repent and beg God to help me change....I have never been the same again.
I have walked through some valleys and trials since then that would take days to tell
you about. But, Jesus has seen me through.
How do I continue to work and homeschool and do the daycare thing? I left my $32,000 a year
job and became a full time mom. A couple of months later my husband repented too! Our lives have never
