Daylilies are known for their hardiness, easy care, and reliable performace as garden plants. They make great lanscaping plants and can be used effectively in both mass planting and as accents. The large funnel shaped flowers which come in almost every colour except pure blues and pure white. Most common is the orange day lily found along roadsides, that blooms for a short period in early summer. For best plants, it is best to leave day lilies unidsturbed for years. (This is great news for someone who wants easy to care for plants!)

Varieties: many varieties. Both wild and hybirds. Hybirds have different blooming periods.
Propagation: Divide or sow seeds in early spring or late summer. Plants should be divided every three to five years.
Light: Full Sun to Partial Shade. Should get approximately 6 hours of sun a day.
