Lupines

(Latin: Lupinus)

Lupins are tall spikes of flower clusters. They are not very long-lived, and if they don't self-sow, they'll have to be replanted every three years.

Height: 2-4 feet (60-120cm)
Blooms: Summer
Varieties: Freedom (blue); George Russell (coral pink)
Colours: shades of blue, rose, lavendar, yellow and white
Propagation: To grow from seed, it is best to nick the seed to hasten germination. And it might be best to start early, indoors. Lupins will often self-seed.
Light: Full Sun to Partial Shade
Soil: Grows in light sandy soil
