HOUSER ARCHIVES

Houser newspaper articles

The following articles have been scanned from copies
of the archives on microfilm at my local public library.

This article appeared on Friday, March 2, 1906
in the Myrtle Point Enterprise.
It tells of the tragic death of Thomas Rookard,
Laura May Houser's first husband.

Rookard Death

Wagner House
This drawing was screen printed on a t-shirt we bought at the Powers Museum also known as The Wagner House. It is the oldest preserved building from Coos County's pioneer era. The house was built in 1872 by David Wagner. David and his family, along with other North Carolina pioneers settled the area during that time. Among those families was our own Christian Evander Houser.
