PERPETUALLY AND PROUDLY HAUSER

icon

Thanks to help from a bunch of Hauser cousins, I have a fourteen generation lineage chart which spans over 400 years! Among the things I've learned about my heritage is that the Hauser's left Alsace in search of religious freedom. I have to give most of the credit to Victor Seiders, Perry Fulkerson, Elizabeth Harris, Faye Jarvis Moran, Kenneth Hauser, Mark Arslan and my local genealogist, Jennifer Shank and my parents for the names, dates and facts on this page.

HAUSER BOOKS!

Our cousin Perry Taylor Fulkerson has written a fascinating manuscript entitled "Our Hauser Ancestry" which details the family history back to Matthias Hauser (the first). Perry is generously making this document available to Hauser descendants for just the cost of copying. It was from my copy that I learned of Richenweir. It is a treasured part of my research materials! Click his name to send him an email request for "Our Hauser Ancestry".

No Hauser descendant should be without the following two family books.* Email Kenneth Hauser for information about "Alsatian-American Family Hauser". Contact Randall Hooser regarding "Burned Into Memory". I am proud to own both of these Hauser history books!

Riquewihr This is a little history of the city of Richenweir (today known as Riquewirh), Alsace. In 1291 the castle was in possession of Burkhardt II, Count of Horbourgh. You will see that name again mentioned as the wife of Hans Georg Hauser. Susanna Burkhardt was the daughter of the castle warden when they married in 1689. Click on the graphic to go to the Riquewirh site. Click "history" at that site.
