A Winter Day



Snowflakes glisten like prism lights
Reflecting sunshine - Nature's sights,
Drifts up high on country lanes,
Blankets of white like counterpanes,
Mountains of snow beside the stream,
High as the roof where blizzards teem,
Ponds so solid that skaters glide
Round and round - from side to side.
Trees icicled like feathered plumes,
Magic forest - snow-filled blooms,
Country scene - with icy way,
God creates a Winter day.
