1998 Gordon ties record with 13th win

The now Three-time NASCAR Winston Cup Series champion Jeff Gordon ended the 1998 season at Atlanta Motor Speedway by winning the NAPA 500 and tying Richard Petty's modern-era record for the most victories in a single season.

"That's one I certainly never, never thought would happen," Gordon said about tying the record.

"Coming into this race, I said we didn't feel like we had a winning race car, but I felt like we had a good top-five car."
