~ONE TRUE GOD ~

"And so after waiting patiently,Abraham received what was promised." Hebrews 6:15

God's promises aren't worked for; they are received after patient waiting, which is harder.

"We have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of His will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding." Colossians 1:9

Sometimes we say we do not know God's will, but we do. However, if we admit that, we will need another excuse to explain disobedience.

"And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please Him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God...." Colossians 1:10

Don't measure success by pounds lost, but by gaining in the knowledge of God.

Being strengthened with all power according to His glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience." Colossians 1:11

Our success is not dependent on our ability to say "no" to temptation, but on our decision to say "yes" to God.

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ." Ephesians 1:3

The God who chooses, adopts, gives freely, even lavishes upon us, also disciplines us, lest we become spoiled children.

"And Hemade known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ, - to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ."Ephesians 1:9-10

God never intends for us to be totally on our own.

"It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God-that is, our righteousness, holiness, and redemption." I Corinthians 1:30

Jesus is righteousness, holiness and redemption, as much for the victor as the struggler.

"Offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God---Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is." Romans 12:1-2

God is much more interested in a transformed life than a streamlined body.

"So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature." Galations 5:16

Temptation is not overcome by digging in your heels, but by staying on your knees.

"Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit." Galatians 5:25
In rebellion we lag behind. In our zeal we sometimes run ahead. But in communion we keep in step.
