Peering out the window as I connect with my modem I sometimes wonder why it is my confident and friend, The unpersonal nature of this computing machine Has bought me to the porch, visible, but yet unseen. The ambiguities the porch sometimes does posses, Is overridden by love, understanding, compassion, and The porch, in its unique and uncomprehenisble means, has brought me happiness, tears, friendships, and dreams. Friends in the Heartland, are like the stars in the sky Individuality, creative minds, struggles and triumphs, Personalities so visible...shining for everyone to see The modem allows one to be real, JUST to be you, JUST to be me. The fun on the porch, yes we indeed do experience, The joy, the laughter, the prosaicism, the child in us all, To share the heartaches, the pain, the victories and such, The support from the Porch is appreciated so very much. Don't let anyone ever tell you the net isn't real Bring them to the Heartland, the place of contentment and joy, of pain and sorrow, of lives, of emotion, of people, of love, The place where one can find comfort intertwined with that granted to us from up above. You have a permanent place in my heart, and forever it will be To the ones I love so dearly in this place, I thank you from my heart and soul, To you, the Heartlanders of this great virtual space. GOD BLESS YOU MY FRIENDS! Carolyn a/k/a Cuddles *rights reserved*
