I am active in the La Leche League, and have made many friends, as well as gotten lots of good info and reassurance. I strongly urge anyone who is breastfeeding or pregnant to attend at least one or two LLL meetings. I didn't start going until my son was 9 months old, and boy do I wish I had gone from the beginning. Even if you aren't having any troubles with nursing, the companionship and friendship, as well as the friends my son has made are well worth it.
The American Association of Pediatrics has come out with new breastfeeding guidelines. If all that medical terminology is too much for you, go here to listen to a report on them.
I have decided to boycott Nestle products. Why? do you ask? Well, go check out this site to find out all about their unethical marketing practices for formula in various countries. And, if after reading all about it you decide to join the boycott, here is a list of products to boycott.
