If you remember, last fall I sent out the word that we needed some new volunteer mothers to open clubs around town. There was so much interest among young girls and so much potential for shared learning and hands-on skill training but limited space within my existing club.  Guess what?  There are now FIVE strong clubs and over fifty happy girls because a few ladies responded.  I thought this would be an encouragement to all of you.  It seems we are always aware of the lack of volunteers and resources, but here is an example of how FHE works for your community!!  It enriches all of us when these mothers and daughters and friends are growing, reading, working and playing together within our high-paced American lifestyles. The benefits and memories are priceless.  "Yeah!" for homeschooling -- I'm glad that we still make time for the things that count.

Here's a rundown on the clubs I know about:

• Teri Emerson and Tammy White meet once a month in Yadkin Co., where 8 girls are involved.
• Mary Jo Mackey just started a group in the Kernersville area --13 girls meet once a month.
• Donna Stamper, in Pfafftown meets with 10 girls once a month.
• Betty Parkes, in Pfafftown meets 2-3 times a month with 6 girls.
• Phyllis Babcock meets once a month at Grace Bible Church with 13 girls.
