Honoring Our Graduates

The families of the respective graduate submitted these brief biographies. God bless all of those students among us who are beginning a new phase of life.

Bradley Trevor Pippins, the son of Bruce and Carrie Pippins, has attended H.O.P.E. Home School since 1989. Bradley's interested include surfing, skateboarding, and soccer, which he has played since he was six years old. Bradley is graduating high school a year early due to his hard work and plans to attend Forsyth Technical Community College next fall.

Garland Lynn West, daughter of Ron & Terrylee West, graduated from Jericho School April 30, 1999 at a ceremony in Winston-Salem after being home educated for 9 ½ years. Garland is an avid reader and enjoys swimming and drama. Garland and Emily Morales were 2nd in HSLDA state debate. She has a small business creating American Girl doll clothing. After taking piano for 13 years, she began teaching students 2 years ago. Garland plans to take piano pedagogy in college. Her desire is to share her love of music by teaching others.

Emily Hope Morales, daughter of Ruben and Judy Morales, graduated April 30, 1999 from Faith Christian Academy having been home schooled all of her life to the glory of God. A love of reading has dominated her life with a particular fondness for the medieval period. Piano, gardening and cross-stitch were followed by the teaching of Latin and joining of NCHE’s state debate tournament. With a scholarship from Campbell University she plans to begin pre-law. Three younger brothers and a little sister love Emily.
