Are you homeschooling a child with a learning disability, or maybe have questions on your child's special needs? It was such a pleasure to listen to Joyce Herzog at the Master's Loft , August 2. We have been blessed with a wonderful support in our area for children who have learning disabilities and handicaps.
A large amount of national, state and local resources have come my way. And so I will continue to be liaison for FHE and support with our "special needs" families. This will cover computer access information you can do at home, learning tools and reading lists of interests, as well as support groups.
The Winston-Salem Learning Disabilities Association will have their next meeting September 11, 7:00 pm at Temple Emanuel on Oakwood Dr., W-S. Speaker Roseanne Manus, MA will discuss "Reading, Writing, and Spelling". These meetings are held monthly and cover a wide range of topics on Attention Deficit Disorder and Dyslexia.
I look forward to seeing you at the homeschool picnic Sept. 13 when I'll bring new resource information or contact me. I'm in the FHE Directory.
