Here is a vintage look at a group of south central Kentucky (Barren County) farmers taken in 1925. Adults, standing left to right are Carl Caudell, Brent Perkins, Edward Thomas Edwards, ??? Pruitt, James Cordis 'Cordie' Bastin, Jim Thomas Taylor, Lawrence Caudell, and Smith White. Standing in front (7-year old) is William T. 'Bill' Locke.
'Cordie' Bastin was the son of James Thomas 'Tom' Bastin, and Nancy Eugenia 'Jennie' (Smith) Bastin . Bill Locke (14 Jan 1918 - 13 Dec 1996) was Cordie's nephew, the son of John and Lois (Bastin) Locke, and the grandson of Tom and Jennie Bastin.
Cordie was a Great Great Great Grandson of Thomas and Hannah Bastin of Caswell County, NC. People in photo identified by Bill Locke, with help from Glen Bastin in correcting the name of Brent Perkins (Bill had listed him as Ghent Perkins).
