David
David
David is 10 yrs. old. The Lord has blessed David very much, and
we have so much to be thankful for. Last year we sat down with David and told him the importance
of trying to do well at
school and prayed with him. Well, when school started, that child
brought home straight "A's",
ALL YEAR LONG!!!. We were stunned! And on top of that,
the year before as "boys will do",
he had several "behavioral reports" sent home from the teacher.
The same year he made straight
"A's" he had 1 (one ) report sent home at the beginning of the
year, then none. Talk about the
power of prayer! Also David enjoyed doing well at school.
Well, as a reward, we asked David
what would he like for doing so well at school. His answer was
a "set of drums". So I looked
around and ran into a drummer in a band. We started talking and
now , David has a nice set of
drums. and he plays them . As a parent I couldn't
be more happy with a child ( unless he was
twins ) . Bit my tongue, what am I saying?
David has been born again for about 2 yrs. now and I won't ever forget
the night we were coming
home from church and David began to talk about heaven, and what to
do to go there? We told
him the simple plan of salvation, and David asked the Lord into his
heart on the way home that
night. The gospel is simple enough even for a child to understand,
I guess that's why the Lord
said " except you come to me as a child, ye shall not enter in" ( paraphrased)
Mk. 10:15.
What's even better, every now and then David will tell us he "felt"
the Lord's presence during a
service at church. David knows what the presence of the Living
God is like-hallelujah!!!
Aside from all that I've told you, David is still all boy and likes
to PLAY. That's why we choose
his annamation, looks like a kid ( to me anyway ) bye---
