Hattie was still doing agility and lving it until right before she died at 12 years old. She was the great love of her owner's life. Below is a tribute to both Hattie and Ann Brogden, her owner.
She was not the breeder's pick, but she give her all for me.
A little shy the breeder thought, but she became all that she could be.
She never failed to win a heart as title after title she won.
She never failed to show her style at work or having fun.
She lived her life jubilantly with courage and without doubt;
Facing obstacles, jumps, cross walks, and weaving in and out.
The first champion Aussie to earn her Masters Agility.
She was High Scoring Aussie 1996 in the Novice category.
Her titles go on and on -- too numerous to recount,
But in my heart she was my girl, my friend with love unbound.
She gave her all -- did all I asked.
These are the sweet memories that will last.
Sleep well, my friend.
