Okay, okay, so this thing is turning into a monthly journal and not a weekly thing.... so sue us! :o) We're busy folks around here ya know. Especially since I am becoming much more active in my ripe young age of two and a half years old! I have found a new fascination in snakes, spiders, ants, bugs, flies and anything else gross! I catch ants, put them in a box and for a little while they are my pet (until I try and hug them and then "I make them dead") >>LOL<< Mommy and daddy got some new birdies a while back - their names are "Tweety" and "Arielle", they are parakeets. They are cool I guess.... but the always go crazy and I have to yell to mommy "THE BIRDS ARE FREAKING OUT!!!" at the top of my beautiful little voice. (batting eye lashes) Let's see, what else is going on.... oh yeah! I can count to 13 all by myself! I still haven't done the "potty thing" yet... we're working on it. Mommy says if I don't go on it soon she is taking my diapers away for good and I HATE having "accidents" in big girl pants. Keep your fingers crossed for us! Phew! Is that enough? I sure hope so :o) Come back in a month or so and we might have something else up here...

It's been a few weeks (so mommy says) and it's time to do a little update. Not too long ago my "nana" (grandma) got me a Little Smart - Alphabet Desk which I didn't pay too much attention to until now. This thing is great! It plays music (which by the way, I have learned the "If you're happy and you know it" song), it teaches me the ABCs, numbers, words 'n so much more! I love it now though... I especially like listening to the animal sounds it makes. I can play along with Blues Clues now too! It's so much fun looking for the clues! Before, when I was a baby, I used to just sit and watch but now I can show mommy clues and tell her I need my notebook! Well, I'm pretty tired of this now (at two 'n a half, waddya expect?!) - We'll do one of these again soon!

03/03/98

It's been a while since mommy and me had time to work on my page but I do have some updates for you! :o) In the past couple of months I have learned my ABC's, mommy is working with me on my numbers and I am talking much much better, full sentences! I have begun going on the potty number one AND number two! I still have a ways to go but mommy says she has "faith" in me (what's that mean?!) :o) It's not all good though, I have been getting in some trouble lately cuz when I get mad I scream at the top of my lungs - mommy gets pretty mad cuz she says the people next door can hear me. We are working on this though and I am really a good girl at heart :o) If you don't believe me, ask my Nana, Mee-Maw, Pop-pop, Aunt Georgia, Uncle James, Aunt Margie, should I go on?!?!

12/06/97

Today began as a good day... My daddy played with me all morning and then we went for a long ride in the car and I fell asleep. We got home and everything was going great until....
I asked mommy for a piece of toilet paper to blow my nose and cuz I was sooo tired I lost touch with the world and stuck a piece of paper up my nose! Boy did it go far too but luckily mommy and daddy got it out. It's a good thing too, I'd hate to grow a whole roll of toilet paper up there!
Well, that was my day :o)

12/08/97

Today was kind of interesting... I felt the desire to take my diaper off all day long! I got a big pot from mommy's cabinet and sat down to go "pee-pee" - mommy freaked out! But I still won't sit on that huge white thing in the bathroom... Mommy and I went outside for a little while to check the mail 'n stuff and I finished the day off when daddy got home and we played for a while before I fell off to sleep. I also learned "Jingle bell rock" over the weekend. I ran around singing it all day, I think mommy is going crazy cuz she laughs really loud when I sing it for her :o)

I got a big girl bed today!! It's a red one too! I really love it cuz I can get out of bed and bug mommy and daddy *real* early in the morning! :o)

Today was great! I got lots and lots of presents from Santa. Mommy was sick today so we didn't go anywhere special for Christmas but I had lots of fun playing with my new toys with mommy and daddy. I took my new puppy for a walk today for the first time too! I love him so much, he's such a cutie!

12/29/97

My daddy stayed home from work today and we all hung out together. We have all been real sick but we can still find time to go in my room and play for a little while. I hope all of us feel better soon! Daddy got to watch all my favorite shows with me today which was really neat since he doesn't stay home from work very often. Tomorrow everything will be back to normal but I sure will miss my daddy being home with us but I am glad he is feeling well enough to go to work again :o)
