Well, one evening I was sitting in my lonely apartment all by myself. I decided to get on ICQ and was then invited to join someone in a chat room conversation. It was there I met the most wonderful man any woman could dream of having. I exchanged ICQ numbers and we chatted for a couple of months, when I lost contact with him. :o( But like any other conversation I didn't think anything about it...until one day we met again and that is when the relationship started off from the ground. I knew him as Ty DeBoleŽ. We chatted and realized that we both wanted so bad to meet that he came after work one night to see me... Well, needless to say, that evening started a lifetime commitment.
The one thing I could not offer Dan was a child...I could not have any children. But he didn't seem to mind at all... However, we are the proud parents of a foster son, Jesse, who just turned 12 years old. You can see his picture below...
I am an adopted mom to a sweet lady whom I have cared for almost 20 years now. Her name is Peto, and in German it means short. She is only 4 ft 8 inches tall. Well, Peto is developmentally disabled and has the mind of a 5-year-old, but she is very cute and cuddly. I'm Mama Day to her... The one thing I missed in life was having my own child, but right now, raising two of the most lucky kids in the world is my main concern. Peto is pictured below...
Dan is an instant dad, which he loves very much. Jesse loves Dan very much and they get along really good.
I want the world to know how lucky I am to have such a wonderful man to be my soul mate.
DAN, I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH... I'M DEDICATING THIS SONG TO YOU...UNCHAINED MELODY BY LEANN RIMES. THANKS FOR COMING INTO MY LIFE. DIANA
TY DeBOLEŽ's DEDICATION TO CYBER_MOM
I first met Diana in an ICQ chat room in July, 1998. She was so funny and seemed like such a nice lady. I, of course, was just clowning around with a bunch of my 'net buddies (Porkchop, WarChild and ginger35), cracking jokes the whole time. I was quite surprised when she added me to her list. From then on we mostly just sent messages to each other, along with an occasional chat. We became very good friends very quickly! :o) However, friends is all that we ever thought we would be, because of our age difference...I didn't think she would like me for anything more than a friend, and likewise with her...
We lost contact for a couple of weeks, due to the fact that I was moving from Moses Lake, Washington, back to Clarkston, Washington. I finally got settled, and who was one of the few that left me a message??? It was, of course, Diana! :o)
We messaged away for a couple more weeks, and she decided that she wanted to come to Clarkston to meet me! Needless to say, I was dealing with many emotions at that point! *LOL* We were going to meet in a motel, two weeks from that date (it was about September 5, 1998)! We could do nothing but talk about our meeting in person for one solid week! Finally, I couldn't stand the suspense any longer...I just HAD to meet this wonderful friend that I had made...in the flesh! :o)
I had just gotten home from work on September 11, at about 10:30 PM, found Diana online, and we started messaging as usual. I told her that the week was going to be too long for me to wait, and asked her if I could just go that 110 miles to meet her in person. She gave me the directions, I said goodbye, cleaned up a bit, and HIT THE ROAD! *hehe* I barely made the trip in the wonderful jalopy, which I named Rusty, pictured below... *LOL*
Alrighty, then! *hehe* With the directions Diana had given me in hand, I set out on what was NOT to be your ordinary trip, but a complete adventure! *LOL* I already knew the way to the city I was headed for, so that was no problem. The REAL problems started about half way to my destination! Well, to make a long story a bit shorter, I had car problems on the way! *LOL* I found the exit on the freeway with no problem, but she had told me to turn left at Perkins. I DESPERATELY looked for a left at Perkins, but there was a left BEFORE Perkins, and a left AFTER Perkins! *LOL* Finally, I pulled in at a hotel BEHIND Perkins and called Diana. She told me that I was only a block away from her...BUT WHICH BLOCK??? The street I was looking for was nowhere to be found! Well, with clutch screeching like nothing I had ever heard before, I continued my search for this non-existent street...
Finally, I saw a lady walking down the street I was on. It turned out that she was almost to her apartment when I stopped and asked her how to get to the street I was looking for. HOW LUCKY CAN YOU GET??? *LOL* She went up to her apartment and threw down a local phone book, so I could look up the street on the map inside... I had no luck finding it, so SHE came down and tried to help me find it. No luck! NOW WHAT? I racked my brain, trying to think of something to ask her that might help both of us figure out where the hell I was going! *LOL* Finally, I asked her if there was more than one Perkins on the street that I had to take to get to Diana's apartment. She told me that there WAS another Perkins a COUPLE OF MILES UP THE ROAD! I thanked her, jumped back into the now Rusty Screecher, and high-tailed it up the road, where I FINALLY found the other Perkins! I made the left, and, lo and behold, THERE WAS THE STREET I HAD BEEN SEARCHING FOR! :o)))) I went around the block, so I could park on the correct side of the street, parked and got out, cigarette in hand. Who should be waiting for me in her robe and nightgown, but Diana herself! :o) I almost put the cigarette out, but decided that if she didn't like the fact that I smoke, we wouldn't get along anyway, so I just took another puff! *LOL* She came up to me, asked me if I was Dan, I confirmed that I was, and we gave each other a huge hug, one like I have never experienced in my life!
We went inside and laughed about my taking so long to get there. It had taken me from about 11:30 PM until about 3:30 AM, just to get to my destination 110 miles away from home! It should have only taken about two hours to get from home to her apartment! *LOL* We first met in person at approximately 3:30 AM on September 12, 1998.
We sat and talked, hugged, kissed...well, I'll let your imagination run wild with the REST of it! *LOL* ...the rest of the night. By daylight, there was no doubt in either of our minds what we really meant to each other. At that point, we were VERY much more than just the friends that we were just the previous night over the internet.
My car was WAY past shot, as far as making a return trip to Clarkston, so Diana just came out and told me to drive HER car back so I could go to work! Now, is that a wonderful lady, or what? :o) I commuted 110 miles to and from work for two weeks, and had made plans for her to move to Clarkston with me. Well, to make ANOTHER story fairly brief, I quit my job in Clarkston (because of something my mother had tried to do to Diana) and moved to where Diana was living at the time. Shortly after that, Diana decided it was time for my hair to be trimmed... You can see the results of that trim job below! *LMAO*
Well, we soon realized that there definitely was NOT enough room for me, her and Peto (the 84-year-old dwarf lady that Diana has cared for for over 18 years, and is pictured with Diana and I at the end of my dedication), so we went house hunting, and found the right place for us almost immediately! :o) We now are living in this house, with our computers set up side-by-side, and still messaging and chatting like we did when we met, only with one BIG difference... Our messages no longer contain only friendly words and jokes. We are constantly sending each other messages that promise our love to each other for as long as time continues to move ever onward. This is truly a love that will never die. This is the life that I had so desperately been searching for...a love beyond anything I had ever thought possible... This "friend" that I had met, now ten months ago, turned out to be the woman beyond anything that I could have ever hoped for or dreamed of... We are soul mates, forever entwined as one...for as long as time goes onward...
