Hello, and thanks for stopping by. We hope you will find the following
information helpful in your "challenge" of adoption. The unfortunate thing
about this page is that it is such a "challenge". Not only in locating a child
to adopt, but also in locating a birthparent for those adoptive children who
are now adults. We hope that this page will help in both instances.

~Tips for Adoption~
1. Network - make connections with people everywhere and let it be known that
you are wanting to adopt a child.
2. Read magazines geared to adoption. They usually have success stories of
adoptions as well as places to adopt.
3. Do NOT pay out money to people that you do not know, or that you cannot
check their background...no matter how tempting!
4. Check references, whether it be an agency or an adoption attorney. It is
like finding a good doctor.
5. Never ever give up! Have faith, believe it! and it will happen!!!!!

~Tips for Adoptees~
1. Gather as much information from your adoptive families as you can get.
2. Register in all adoption registries (state, private, national), and check to
see if there is anyone that matches what you have been looking for as well.
3. Talk with others that have located birth parents. Learn from their
experiences.
4. Check references of any private investigators that you might hire. (Although
if you read a good HOW-TO book you won't need an investigator.)
5. Never ever give up! Have faith, believe it! and it will happen!!!!!
