Give Your Daughter a Christmas Present that Could Last a Lifetime, a Big Sister

Record numbers of female volunteers have gone through the screening process to become Big Sisters. Little Sisters are needed to match with these Big Sisters. Girls ages 5-14 can join the program. If you are a single parent, contact the Big Brothers Big Sisters office at 328?8310 to learn more about the program and to get an application for each of your children.

Big Sisters are waiting to find little sisters who have things in common. Children are matched with volunteers who live close by so that it is easy for the two to get together. Applications are being taken for little brothers, and there is a waiting list.
The Big Brothers Big Sisters agency has monthly activities that the "Bigs" and "Littles" can do at reduced costs.

Remember... you are not giving up your child, but giving your child another role model to look up to and have fun with.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Spokane County strives to match school age children from primarily single-parent families to volunteers who will be positive role models and friends. Most of the children in our program are from families that are struggling to cope with the absence of one parent and the responsibilities of single-parenting. Children benefit from the time and attention of a Big Brother or Big Sister role model in their lives. A Big Brother or Big Sister is a mentor, friend, a role model who helps a child develop the self-esteem and life skills needed to become a healthy, productive adult.
