John H. Harrod's Marriage to Martha J. Runner

This is a scanned copy of the Marriage License and Marriage Certificate of John H. Harrod to Martha J. Runner. According to the National Archives' Record, Martha J. Runner was John H. Harrod's second wife. The National Archives Records give Catherine Greene Orange as his first wife. The records also state that John H. Harrod married Martha J. Runner 5 or 6 weeks after Catherine Greene Orange's death. His pension file confirms that John was married twice and lists the wives' names as mentioned previously. There were two witnesses' testimony that stated that he had been married twice and only twice, and they listed the names of both wives. John H. Harrod and Martha J. Runner married in Warren County, Ky. I have seen the record of their marriage at the Warren County, Ky. Courthouse. However the scanned copy is from John's pension file. John and Martha are buried side-by-side at the Green River Union Church Cemetery in Richardsville, Warren County, Ky.
